BLVD Companies was founded by Jon Blanchard and Nicolo Rusconi in 2009 with a mission to change the way that businesses and customers interact with one another and the world around them. BLVD has since focused on developing real estate and hospitality ventures that aim to disrupt long-institutionalized market segments through innovative design and development, efficient operating platforms, and a meticulous attention to what guests, customers, friends, and family deserve in the businesses they frequent. Here at BLVD, our family comes first. And through that, the love and passion for what we do shines through. That’s how Walt did it. That’s how we do it. And it’s worked out pretty well so far.

THE GEORGIAN
The historic Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica, CA was acquired by BLVD alongside partners Global Mutual and ESI Ventures in Q3 2020.
BLVD Hospitality is a full-service real estate and hotel development company focusing on the practical imagineering of hospitality and the revitalization of underserved and overlooked markets across the country.
Chicas pioneered the movement of utilizing fresh, sustainable, and never-frozen ingredients in a bold yet balanced menu inspired by the vibrant flavors of Mexico. Our Chicas family is ready to serve up our fresh takes on tacos, burritos, bowls, and salads with open arms and warm hearts.

JON BLANCHARD
FOUNDER + CEO
Jon Blanchard is a proven hospitality pioneer, hotelier, and market visionary with an accomplished track-record of nationally renowned hospitality projects. Jon founded BLVD Hospitality in 2008, and after spearheading downtown Los Angeles’ first adaptive reuse hospitality project with the historic renovation of the United Artists’ Building and Theatre into the award winning Ace Hotel, Jon set his sights on the rekindled LA hospitality development renaissance. BLVD, under the vision of Blanchard, is creating and developing some of the industry’s most anticipated hospitality and real estate projects in Los Angeles and beyond.
Jon is inspired by visionaries such as Walt Disney and Howard Hughes, and he has had a lifelong passionate interest in how aviation, locomotion, and hospitality have shaped the world. He is a perfectionist and his attention to detail is one of the driving factors in BLVD’s ongoing success. Jon lives in Los Feliz, CA with his wife and children.
NICOLO RUSCONI
CO-FOUNDER + PRESIDENT
Nicolo Rusconi is a passion-based hospitality entrepreneur, hotelier, and brand experience architect with a portfolio that spans industries. In addition to co-founding BLVD, Nico cofounded fast-casual restaurant brand Chicas Tacos as well as the Arts District espresso bar and lounge, RVCC Intersect. He was selected for Zagat's 30 under 30 in 2016 for his creativity and vision in hospitality; he currently sits on the board of directors for the Los Angeles Conservation Corps; and he is a founding partner in the DTLA-focused event collective, LaunchDTLA. Nicolo joined Jon in 2012 and the duo have been unstoppable ever since.
Nicolo is a passionate collector of rare and antiquarian literature, obscure desert fauna, other obscurities, and he is an avid outdoorsman and rock climber. He lived in downtown Los Angeles for over 8 years and was and remains an active advocate for the community. He currently lives with his wife in Pacific Palisades, CA. Nicolo is fundamentally inspired by creation and the journey that an idea takes from inception to introduction to the world.
